Easy Lace Stitch with One Row Repeat
This is a very easy pattern with very open stitches and a little bit of ribbing.
One cool thing about ribbing: tends to be ‘slimming’ (oh, did that rhyme?)
Looks the same on both sides.
It’s a nice stitch for a scarf, pillowcases, vest, and many other Spring or Summer projects you might have in mind.
We usually don’t think about knitting as much in the Spring and Summer as we might not have many ideas on what to knit that isn’t warm, but there’s TONS of cool ideas to look into. And not only that, with a bunch of events coming up like Easter, Mother’s Day, Graduations, Birthdays or simply wanting to update your home decor. There’s a lot to keep those hands and hearts busy.
Use 2 or needle sizes larger than what the yarn calls for.
Stitch is made with a multiple of 3.
I used #4 yarn
# 10 1/2 knitting needles
This is a 1 row repeat stitch. It’s the same in every row.
It’s a double sided stitch. It looks the same in both sides.
If you want to make a scarf, a throw, a blanket… you can add 4 or 5 stitches at the edges, to make it sturdy.
pass one as if to purl,
knit 1 through the back,
pass the one before over the last stitch.
