This has been one of the most popular video tutorials lately and we have made quite a few knitted Cape and Capelet tutorials for you to enjoy. We even had a Knit Along (KAL) in which many of you submitted beautiful work.

So Joanne decided to make a longer version of the capelet for those who wanted a piece to cover up to the top of the arms and chest. And this is how the slightly longer Cape video tutorial came about.

Materials

2 Caron Simply Soft

3 Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball

500 yards of the curly (Sirdar Snuggly)

I used:

1 Curly thin yarn, 2 lion brand shawl in a ball and 1 soft secret.

All 4 strands knitted together.

(I believe it would be ok to knit this cape with 1 strand less, like the curly

one or a shawl in a ball.

#13US (9mm.) Needles

Follow along with these instructions:

Cast on 45 stitches (I used the Cable Cast On)

Knit 2 rows

Then:

Knit 15, turn and wrap, knit the15 back.

Knit 30, turn and wrap, knit the 30 back.

Knit 45, knit them back.

Repeat these 6 rows, 60 times

Knit 1 more wow.

Bind off.

Weave in ends.
